"Tėvas Pranciškus"

Autorius nežinomas. Šv. Gregorijaus koplyčia Šv. Benedikto vienuolyne, Subacio, Italija.

Šventasis pavaizduotas be stigmų ar aureolės, todėl spėjama, kad jis buvo nutapytas Pranciškaus gyvenimo metais ir iki 1224 m.

Rytų įtaka koplyčios tapytojų darbuose ypač matoma šiame paveiksle - Pranciškus pavaizduotas veidu į priekį ir su skirtingo dydžio akimis, kurios primena garsiąją Kristaus ikoną Šv. Kotrynos vienuolyne, Sinajuje.

The saint is shown without the stigmata or a halo, indicating it was painted during Francis lifetime and before 1224.

The eastern influence of the chapel's Roman painters can especially be seen in this portrait - Francis is shown facing front and with one eye larger than the other, recalling the famous icon of Christ at St. Catherine's Monastery, Sinai.
